  • what in the world

    Of all the people I know, I have the greatest disparity between my rather good grasp of basic math skills and a distinct inability to calculate a proper time to go to sleep based on when I want to wake up. For instance, right now I should probably have been sleeping for a couple of hours already. I also suppose that I should start sleeping instead of just writing about it. Meh.

  • Wiped

    Man, I think it's just a combination of being sick for the past few days, and being nonstop busy for the past few ... months. I'm not sure I have the motivation to get off my couch and go to a super bowl party. Were the remote control a little bit closer, I could watch the game and not have to move at all, a boring and surprisingly intriguing possibility at this point.

    I really should start running again. Not because I'm getting out of shape -- which I am, sitting around all winter and doing nothing but playing basketball once every week or two. I think I just need some "me" time, and definitely some "God" time, both of which are hard to find when you have four roommates. Also when you have people over three or four nights a week. Or any other night that nothing's going on. Basically, it's obviously my own fault, but this is one of those

  • Sick day

    I would get out of bed, maybe, if I could sit up more than a few inches without my sinuses making me feel like I drove my head into the ceiling.

    ... given the precarious relative positions of my bed and the sloping ceiling above me, that's actually quite plausible -- but no, it's just a major freaking headache, compounded by a profound inability to breathe through my nose. Thankfully there is email; I would hate trying to call into work while sounding like a severely demented frog.

    Heh, that looks like a little bit of Yahtzee (as in zeropunctuation, not as in the dice game) coming through in my writing, as often happens when I spend a lot of time around a particular writing style. That's somewhat amusing, at least.
